Squantum Association | East Providence, RI
This wedding had a few firsts for me which was really exciting! My first time photographing an Armenian wedding ceremony and my first time at The Squantum Association in East Providence!
It was a very beautiful ceremony and Lisa and Zack were each crowned with these gorgeous golden crowns. It was very important to Lisa that we captured this part of the ceremony so I and my second shooter Katie were on the job!
Then we headed to The Squantum Association. If you’ve never been before it’s really cool to drive there. You leave the city and drive on this small road, over train tracks and then you arrive at this lush green area where the reception hall is. If you follow a path off to the left though it leads to a set of stairs bringing you to the water! It really feels like you are transported out of Providence.
I took their formals by a big green tree on the property and even included their super cute puppy, Hennessy! This group took their partying seriously and the dance floor was open from the very beginning of the night. Their DJ also plays instruments so he was out on the dance floor too! Lisa’s sister put together a really emotional slide show for them as a toast. Later she was the lucky gal that caught the bouquet which was a little awkward when an uncle caught the garter.
We snuck out to take some sunset photos which are always some of my favorites from the day. The lighting is just so pretty.
