The Wedding
When a bride is bold enough to wear a gorgeous red dress on her wedding day you know she is something special! I first met Helen as a bridesmaid of one of last years bride’s and I was so happy she contacted me to photograph her day too! It was so fun to see Steph and Dan again and celebrate Helen and Steven at Waterman Grille!
All of their bridesmaids could choose their own dresses as long as they were Dusty Rose in nature. It was a really nice compliment of color to the bold red of Helen’s dress. All of the gentlemen could wear suits that they liked too! Letting your wedding party choose their own clothes for your big day is becoming more popular. I think it’s a really great trend that I hope will continue. It lets each person’s personality shine through. It also lets them possibly be more comfortable and save a little money too! Bridemaids dresses, in particular, seem to be getting more and more expensive! I know brides honestly try to choose something that can be worn again but let’s be honest. If you were to wear it again to an event you’d look like, well, a bridesmaid!
The Venue
This was my first wedding at the Waterman Grille in Providence. It is the perfect location for a smaller intimate wedding! It has a small deck area outside which they used for their ceremony. Inside they had the whole bottom floor for their reception which has really large glass windows that look right out on the water. They also have a ton of parking! It is so rare for a venue in Providence to have a lot of free parking. It was nice to not have to park on the street and the lot was well lit too!
