Brick Gables | Lititz, PA

My first destination wedding! I was really excited to get to travel down to Lititz, PA to photograph my cousin’s wedding at Brick Gables! 

I never would have considered myself to be a “City Girl” but driving to Lititz I knew I was definitely in the country. Grass and farms everywhere, the faint smell of cows, and people that actually smile and say hello to you!

It was very exciting to get to photograph my cousin’s wedding. I don’t get to see this side of the family very often. Pennsylvania is about a 6-hour drive for me which doesn’t seem like much but for a Rhode Islander that is basically on the moon! Photographing a wedding surrounded by family is so different though. It’s much more intimate, you know everyone’s names, and you are definitely a guest, not just another vendor. This was also the first time that my parents were at a wedding that I photographed which was very strange! I was proud they were able to see how hard I work for my couples though!

I don’t know how often I’ll be asked to photograph weddings in Pennsylvania but it’s worth the drive for such a pretty location and countryside.
